Dear Kuetzal investor,
Our team wants to apologize for delays in payments and replies to e-mails received.
Unfortunately we have to inform that Kuetzal is announcing wind-down, furthermore the company will only process withdrawals of the funds, the company is no longer accepting new project applications, investors registrations and deposits. Company’s reputation was harmed sufficiently for the past weeks, and Kuetzal management does not see a way to recover investor’s activity, therefore we may not return to usual working process. The mission of the company may not be reached anymore.
Due to high number of reports, claims and negative messages SEB Bank and PAPAYA (the only two banks that Kuetzal used) initiated the AML check and has temporarily blocked Kuetzal’s bank accounts. Kuetzal is currently unable to perform any operations for undefined period. Kuetzal management is aiming to reestablish the activity of both operational bank accounts and perform buy-backs and withdrawals in shortest terms respectively.
Kuetzal will keep the investors informed.
We have not been able to make Kuetzal a successful player on crowdfunding market. We will however aim to exit the market quietly with minimum repercussion to our customers and the whole crowdfunding market. The website functions furthermore will be limited, only the user area will be kept. All the user area functions will continue working as before.
In case of technical issues with withdrawals or other question we kindly ask to use our contact mail instead of social networks or cellphone to receive the fastest service.

Gracias!

Kuetzal is a scam?

WARNING: Kuetzal has announced that it is in a bankruptcy process, it is no longer possible to register on the platform or deposit new funds

Crowd-investing is an activity that generates high returns but also high risk; I have always had in mind that at some point the return I get from my investments would be affected by some default. Well, it has happened! Or at least I will record it in the control I have of my accounts. Everything points to the possibility that the Kuetzal platform is a fraud and investors will not get their money back.

Below is the communication Kuetzal sent by email to investors on 12.01.2020

During December, the possibility that the platform was a fraud was discussing on several forums, Facebook and Twiter among others. It was said that even the projects published at the platform and financed with the money of the investors were false. If you want to know in detail what happened, I recommend reading these articles:

I must confess that by that time I set my investments aside a little (quite a lot) for various reasons: a lot of work in the office, Christmas and New Year’s Eve, holidays, travels, spending more time with the kids… When I found out what was happening on the social networks, I decided to withdraw the available funds I had on that platform and request the buyback of the projects I had invested in, total 5 projects. As expected, I have not received back either the available funds or the money invested in the projects…nor even an answer.

The affected investors are organizing themselves to demand the platform; there are several groups in telegram and also in forofintech. Initially I joined a telegram group but it was impossible to follow, it was very fast, many comments and I had no time to read them. Personally, I find the one at forofintech is much more convenient and easy to follow.

Warning: as the platform has closed I don’t think any new distracted investor will try to put money there. But just in case: AVOID KUETZAL!
